Beautiful Ohio

      On Tuesday, August 13, my daughter and her family flew in from Los Angeles for their summer visit to Ohio.    

     Though my grand daughters live in the land of palm trees, balmy weather and cerulean skies,

...near the  shore of the blue Pacific,

...they love Ohio.
   Among their favorite attractions of a visit to Ohio are:

    A treasure trove of second-hand and yard-sale toys,

...Grammie Patti's home cooking,

...surprises in Grammie and Grandpa's bedroom closet,

...an art table in the basement,

...lots of places to play,

...a box of play clothes, the better to put on shows with,

...chicken noodle soup through a straw,

...helping with the dusting,

...walks through the neighborhood,

...where one can pick wild flowers,

...and find green spaces for a rest.

      Then there's helping Grandpa pick corn in the back yard,

...and peeling the husks afterwards.

     There's going thrifting,

...and then, of course, there's Easton Town Center Mall,

...which everybody in Central Ohio loves,

...and where one can always enjoy the beautiful diversity of Columbus,

...ans well as the most beautiful ice cream cones.
