El Ranchero
We started off Saturday morning by meeting up with Claire and Miguel, who'd arrived from Chicago the day before and had spent Friday evening helping with preparations for the Quinceañera (see yesterday's post), for brunch at El Ranchero, Miguel's Uncle Chuy's restaurant.
Uncle Chuy |
Claire and Miguel outside El Ranchero. |
On one of the walls hangs a portrait of Miguel's father, who passed away several years before Miguel and Claire were married. |
We then went on to sample among us some of Uncle Chuy's delicious burritos, |
...tacos, |
Tom and I split this massive plate of Enchiladas Tricolor: a red enchilada stuffed with chicken, a white enchilada stuffed with cheese and a green enchilada stuffed beef - soooo good!
The enjoyment of the anticipation would be exceeded only by the enjoyment of the event itself.
To be continued...
