A few days ago I posted advice from my daughter Claire, a global disease warrior, I talked to Claire yesterday, at which time she told me that she had a couple more pieces of advice that she wished she'd have added to those she already shared. I told her it wasn't too late for that to happen, so here is: More Advice from Nurse Claire On The Best Defenses Against The Coronavirus 1. Wash Your Hands As Soon As You Walk In The Door Yes, you should be washing, ...your hands all day long, but be especially sure after having been out of the house to head straight to the sink or sanitizer bottle as soon as you arrive home so as to avoid bringing any bad microbes you might have encountered during the day into your living space. 2. Wipe Down Your Counters Be sure to wipe down your kitchen and bathroom counters at least once every day, ...as will wiping down your counters with disinfecting wipes. 3. And Don't Forget To Wipe Down The Door Knobs, Too And Now, Here's Some Bonus Advice From Me! Keep your floors clean. This advice comes not from the CDC or any other medical or scientific entity, but is strictly from me and based wholly upon intuition. My floor-cleaning modus operandi of choice is a mop and a bucket of water mixed with a generous pour of bleach and a good squeeze of dish soap. Your floors will not only be clean but will smell awesome for a while.
It's a well-documented fact that I'm not much of a house keeper except when it comes to the floors. And, of course, my piano.
