...Continued from yesterday: I'll admit I do enjoy visiting Ohio Amish Country, even though there's not a whole lot to do there unless you like shopping for Amish crafts, which I don't particularly - I'm more of an Ikea fan, so shoot me - or unless you're a little kid who's lucky enough to be staying at the Berlin Resort, My grand daughters were two such lucky little kids when, during their visit from Los Angeles, we took them, ...for an over-nighter at the Berlin Resort. Along with the spotlessly clean rooms, ...equally spotless and attractive lobby, hallways and lounges, ...the Berlin Resort also offers a number of kid-friendly features: ...a free movie theater showing child- and family-appropriate films that the guests can choose, ...a wooded path for a nice walk, ...with so many enchanting touches, ...that make it seem to a child like a magical place. Still, the real magic of the Berlin Resort for young children is in the Children's Village, a miniature play-house town, ...a pet shop, ... a movie theater that shows videos, ..a ballet studio, ...a school house, ...a jail house, ...and a church. "It's like a dream come true," marveled my then 5-year-old grand daughter last year when we took her and her sister to the Children's Village for the first time last year. And so I was wondering if the dream would live on again this second time. It did. To be continued...
